Today I want to talk about the three reasons why now is the right time to build a home.

1. Low inventory. There are few homes for sale on the market, especially those priced under $300,000. If you can’t find what you’re looking for on the market, what a great time to get involved in the process of building your home from the ground up!

2. Interest rates. Interest rates are rising a little bit more than they have in the last couple years. For a $300,000 purchase price, if the rate rises by a half percent to 5%, you’ll be spending around $75 more per month.

3. Building costs. Over the last three to five years, we’ve seen overall building costs rise about 4.5 %.
