Existing Homeowners Finding Current Real Estate Market Ideal for Transition to a New Build

A common concern many existing homeowners that are considering building their next home have is whether or not they will be able to sell their home in time for the new home’s closing. In years past this has been an interesting issue with various ways to deal with depending of course on individual circumstances plus many other factors.

Today, however, things are different. With record setting low interest rates that are still available to most buyers, homes are selling fairly quickly. What this means for buyers of wanting to build a new home is that rather than worry about having a home on their hands that has not sold through the closing of their new one, they will need to look for an interim place to stay while their new home is still under construction.

The fact is that homes are selling fast. And though it is difficult to line things up perfectly to where a seller can simply transition from their old home to the new one, the good news is that things are leaning toward a sellers’ market.
